I was in a "silhouette" mood for this set up, and wanted to show the lights in the image. So her you are, with a photo and it's light set-up :)

Yep, this pics is not the best of the best, but I like it anyway.

I like this one, you can see the "barn doors" doing what they are supposed to be doing. It is also good to see that 2 lights still only add a small amount of detail to the model.

Thank you for sharing your "behind the scene's" look with us. For me it is interesting.

2 lights setup this much "behind" the model will give a very thin line of light, and so a very hard light. But it's useful to extract a model from the background when you light with a front light too.

If its just behind light that you want, then I found that it works much better with a long softbox placed horizontaly, and just out of frame.

Again, its just my make-test-and-mistakes things :)

I understand very clearly the point you are making, I think with light's you have to make error's and test alternate position's.
I have just bought an Olympus E3 and a new lens, so I will have to wait a little while to get some studio light's of my own.
At the moment, I have one speedlight and a 60cm "ezybox", but lack free time to practice.
